Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
OCIA is a journey of faith, a welcoming rite that invites adults into full membership of the Catholic Faith. Through prayer, study and discussion where the foundation and teachings of the Catholic Church are explored. It is an opportunity for questions to be answered and a time to reflect upon the place that God and the Church hold in one’s life.
OCIA is intended for:
Non-baptized adults.
Those baptized in another Christian faith tradition.
Those baptized Catholic who have not completed the rest of the sacraments

The ministry of Altar Serving is open to all boys and girls in the parish who have completed Grade 3 or higher and have received First Holy Eucharist.
Altar Serving gives young people a greater appreciation and understanding of the liturgy of the church while promoting responsibility, service and leadership.
Altar Server training is required and provided.
Altar Servers are scheduled to serve during Mass through Ministry Scheduler Pro (MSP) each quarter.

An active troop fostering leadership, outdoor skills, and community service. Open to boys in elementary through high school, emphasizing character and values rooted in faith.
CYO (Catholic Youth Organization)
Sports programs for youth that emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and spiritual development. CYO offers a fun and faith-filled environment to grow both on and off the field.

Funeral Greeters, an organist, and a cantor are offered at each Funeral Mass and Memorial Service held in our parish.
Greeters help set up the church for the Funeral Mass or Memorial Service and welcome the family members and loved ones of the deceased as they enter the church.
An organist and cantor provide music and lead the congregation in song during the Funeral Mass or Memorial Service.

Funeral Receptions - St. Cecilia (SC)
Provide hospitality for grieving families by helping host funeral receptions at St. Cecilia. Volunteers assist with set-up, serving, and clean-up during these gatherings.

Our homebound, sick, and elderly benefit greatly from receiving the Eucharist and visiting and praying together with someone with a friendly smile. Trained volunteers bring Communion to parishioners who are homebound and unable to attend Mass. Each visit is about 30 minutes long, and all visits are scheduled around your availability.

Impact Youth Ministry (page)
- To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today.

Youth Group is open to teens in Grades 6-12.
A support group for those grieving the loss of a loved one. Find hope, healing, and companionship as you navigate the journey of grief with others who understand.

The Liturgy Planning Committee meets with staff members to plan upcoming “special” liturgies as well as weekend liturgies on a monthly basis.
The only requirement is a sincere desire to create a welcoming and prayerful environment in which to celebrate the Eucharist.
You are invited to participate throughout the year or just help with a meeting or two.
Lectors: Collaborate with parish staff and volunteers to plan special liturgies and enhance our worship experiences. The Word of God is an essential element of our Eucharistic worship.
Lectors are comfortable with public speaking and have a clear understanding of the readings to proclaim the Word of God. Lectors must complete a training session before beginning this ministry and are periodically required to attend learning sessions.

Sacristans help take care of the vestments, vessels, and books that are kept in the sacristy and used for Mass. The sacristan may be the first to arrive, unlock all the Church doors, turn on the lights, and set up for the Mass

Music Ministry is an Adult Choir that helps lead the congregation in song during Mass on various weekends as well as special liturgies, such as Funerals, Christmas and the Easter Vigil.
Most of what the choir sings consists of traditional hymns and carols.
All you need is a commitment to learning the music and regularly attend rehearsals.

Usher and Hospitality Ministry
The role of the Usher/Hospitality Minister is to greet the congregation as they enter church and help them find a seat if needed.
They also arrange for participants in the presentation of the offertory gifts and help take up the collection during Mass.
Ushers/Hospitality Ministers must be attentive and alert in order to meet the needs of the congregation during Mass.
